One person, two crafts, done with care.
I'm Gina Lyn Cox. I bake sourdough and I build software, from a home in Altoona, Iowa.
The two halves of what I do look different from the outside, but they come from the same place. Sourdough taught me patience — that the best results come from time, attention, and trusting a slow process. Code taught me the same lesson from the other direction.
On the bread side, everything here is sourdough, built on a small family of doughs. Learn one good boule and the rest open up. I measure my recipes against the published versions I learned from, and I credit them on every page — that respect matters to me.
On the <dev> side, I take on freelance AI and software work for small teams and nonprofits. I build practical, well-documented tools on my own framework, The Starter, and license them cleanly to the people who use them.
How I work
I'm a sole proprietor — one person, running lean and taking on work I can do well. That means honest timelines, plain-language communication, and a clear paper trail. I'd rather do a few things carefully than many things in a hurry.
Whether it's a loaf or a piece of software, I care about the same things: it should be honest, it should be understood, and it should last.
