Turkey Taco Night

Brown the turkey, warm the tortillas, set out toppings.

Ingredients

IngredientAmount
Ground turkey1 lb
Taco seasoning1 packet
Flour tortillas8
Shredded cheddar cheese8 oz
Roma tomato2
Romaine lettuce1
Sour cream8 oz
Yellow onion1

Amounts are for 4 servings. Use the dinner planner to scale a whole week and build one grocery list.

Method

  1. Finely chop the onion. Warm a skillet over medium-high, add the turkey and onion, and cook, breaking the meat up, until no pink remains, about 6–8 minutes.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water. Simmer 3–4 minutes until it thickens and coats the meat. Taste and adjust the salt.
  3. While it simmers, dice the tomatoes, shred the romaine, and shred the cheddar. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or the microwave.
  4. Build the tacos with the turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a spoon of sour cream.

My simplified version leans on a published recipe I trust. I haven't reworked it into a tested original like the bread — so here's the source, with credit where it's due.
